Hello once again, and apologies for our lax episode delivery. To our credit, we did attempt to record two weeks ago, but it was shit so we stopped. You're welcome. As you know by now, we only deliver quality product, week after week. Anyway, this episode's mistakes include:
Too much time spent discussing the topic instead of waffling off on tangents.Intelligent discussion across of variety of interesting and thematically connected topics.A light-hearted and fun look at some deep philosophical questions of mortality.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Find your utopia, by liking us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, rating us on iTunes, and sending topic suggestions to deepfought@gmail.com.

So, being totally upfront about this, there was some alcohol involved in tonight's recording. It means that we drifted across several topics in a haphazard fashion. You love it. This episode's mistakes include:
The gentle tinkling of ice in glass beneath the conversation. The choppy editing around frustrating connection drops. The lack of sponsorship despite high quality marketable content.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Get thranched, then like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your questions and topics to deepfought@gmail.com.

Hello hello hello, and welcome to another episode of Deep Fought, the world's only internet-based podcast. This week, we try to work out what kind of celebrities we'd be (no no, you're too kind, but we mean outside of the podcast realm). We also talk about goat meat, cheese, films, and Michael genuinely impresses with a mentalism trick. This episode's mistakes include:
Surprisingly fewer edits required than Nick implied there would be.Surprisingly decent audio quality for most of the episode.Surprisingly uninteresting mistakes in this bullet list.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Get in on the ground floor, and like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Another midweek podcast. What have we become? Too popular and social on weekends, I guess. Today Michael brought a topic to the table - the contrasting calcification of political beliefs between the left and right - and it almost lasted a full episode, so let's all give him a nice pat on the head. This episode's mistakes include:
An unconscionably low level of hand washing and general hygiene.A tendency to not keep track of and return to important topics for rebuttal and conclusions, and not just in the normal way.A general aural sense that one side of the conversation was recorded through a mattress.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Change your mind, and like us on Facebook, find us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Well, forewarning, this one got a little heavy in the middle. Thankfully, it's bookended by some grade A hijinks, and possibly even some shenanigans. This episode's mistakes include:
The audible consumption of strudel at the start of the episode.Serious subject matter that doesn't lend itself to much humour for a while.Forgetting to thank this week's sponsor, Nanna Pat's Rat Poison™. Nanna Pat's Rat Poison™: For When You Have Too Many Rats.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Sow the seeds of doubt on our Facebook, Twitter, iTunes, and by emailing questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Greetings, and welcome back to a bombastic, sixtiversary edition of the podcast. It's been a pleasure to have you along for the ride, and while we didn't get our celebratory suits out again for the record, we did manage to make it special for reasons that will become clear early on. This episode's mistakes include:
Interesting audio challenges associated with this particular setup after forgetting how it was done.Didn't thank our sponsor, George Clooney's Science News Presents: Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards 2016.Going too long, necessitating some seamless, invisible edits by our crack production team.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Question what the world has come to, by liking us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, rating us on iTunes, and sending your suggestions and questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Hey hey hey, and welcome back to an eclectic audio experience on this beautiful winter's eve. Today's topics include numbers and if they exist (briefly), the New York Times' relationship quiz, and some deep emotions. We're all over the place. This episode's mistakes include:
Wasting a good twelve minutes on a topic we couldn't say anything interesting about (don't worry, I edited it out).Recording one side of the audio in a crowded vegetable market.Forgetting to include the jingle.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Say hi to your mum for me, and like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, like us on iTunes, and send your questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Hey baby. What's up? Look, Michael wanted me to put this up straight away and so if I'm totally honest I'm still kinda intoxicated. This may have had a detrimental effect on the podcast quality. This episode's mistakes include:
Uploading while under the influence, and thus not expending the same "quality" "control" as per usual.Lots of Radiohead talk, lots of dating talk (?).Look, sometimes writing these things is harder than you'd think.Egregious factual inaccuracies.

Just saying it up front, this episode was hard work to edit so I'd appreciate a little appreciation. In this wide-ranging episode, we talk global warming and what we're actually doing to stop it, as well as politics, late night TV hosts and the evolution of cattle. This episode's mistakes include:
Trusting Skype to have a decent connection and audio quality, necessitating a mid-show swap to FaceTime.Insulting our only fans, the Spanish spambots that liked our Facebook post. Not having our special celebrity guest join in on the actual discussion... or did he?Egregious factual inaccuracies.Do what you can, and send Michael pasta topping suggestions via deepfought@gmail.com, Facebook, Twitter, or in an iTunes review.

Kia ora, and welcome to an ungodly examination of our potential atheist biases. Yes, in that respect it's classic Deep Fought, but this time we might actually have fulfilled our ostensive goals of philosophical debate, which is definitely not classic Deep Fought. So, making progress then. This episode's mistakes include:
Occasional, uncharacteristic meanness from Nick for reasons not fully understood by either party.Part of it could be tiredness, but is that really a fair excuse? You can't get away with murder because you were tired. You should have just seen it in yourself and taken steps to prevent further unconscionable action.I guess a small part of me enjoys feeling a degree of superiority over Michael because he's now experiencing some of the isolation and ostracisation I felt upon first moving to New Zealand. Not merely an 'I was right' sentiment, but a small but legitimately vindictive desire to emphasise to him some of the distance that he innocently and non-vindictively demonstrated to me upon my departure. Isn't that awful? To allow myself to reciprocate hurt with hurt?Egregious factual inaccuracies.Try to make it better by liking us or messaging us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, rating us on iTunes, and sending your assorted thoughts to deepfought@gmail.com.

Something about this seems fishy. Two podcasts in two weeks? What are they getting at? What I'm getting at is that this week's topic is conspiracy theories and the corporate fat cats on Wall Street who don't want you to hear about them because their diversified portfolios DEPEND on the average joe six pack middle America Christian single parents not knowing that THEY'RE the ones taking the bibles out of our hotel rooms in YET ANOTHER WAR ON CHRISTMAS. This episode's mistakes include:
Not registering that domain name before putting the episode up.Unfortunately stumbling into decent audio quality that undercuts Nick's insistence that Michael improve his setup.Creating a tagline for the show after fifty-five episodes that should have been obvious on day one.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Trust us with your secrets by submitting them on Facebook, Twitter, iTunes, and at deepfought@gmail.com.

Sorry, who is this? Yes, it's been a long, long while, but there is a new episode of Deep Fought here for you, ready to download. Five months after the last one, but who's counting. Michael's back from overseas, moved to a new city, broken his computer, and Nick's working on a new TV show. But we made the time to catch up and talk about forgiveness, which seems rather apt. This episode's mistakes include:
Dodgy audio because Michael's computer is broken and we had to record a FaceTime call to his iPhone.Whiplash subject changes as is to be expected.Offensive irreligiosity on this, the holiest of Sundays.Egregious factual inaccuracies. Thanks for your patience, and please like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Sorry, we didn't see you there. We're still alive, though you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Things, as they say, have been afoot. Apologies. This episode is one that doesn't really cover any topics so much as enable both of us to get back in touch with each other after roughly (exactly) nine weeks. If you're a neglected friend or family member that has also been wondering what we've been up to, you're in luck. This episode's mistakes include:Occasional long pauses where Skype lagged (but surprisingly good audio otherwise).Repetition of a theme. No mention of pachinko, vending machines, or other Japanese cliches.Egregious factual inaccuracies. If for some reason you still want more of this, you can like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your themes and questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Look at that! Barely two weeks and we're back with another episode, and like most rushed things, it could have used a little more time in the oven. What's that? Kitchen metaphor? Great segue! Is it? Not really, because we're talking about education - what our parents taught us, what we wished we knew, and what schools should be doing. This episode's mistakes include:Low audio from Michael's end, with a slight echo on Michael's end, and tinny mic (on Michael's end).Energy slumps as we were both knackered. Podcasting is hard, guys. Not enough cooking.Egregious factual inaccuraciesPass this on to your children: they can like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

'Allo 'allo, what do we have here? It's a podcast, in case you forgot during our extended absence from the internet. But that was only due to life taking over, and given life is all any of us have, that had to take precedence. Our unreserved apologies. This, episode 51, hopefully signposts a new momentum and rhythm that will see us treading strongly towards our centenary. Plus, new website and new logo colours, but the same heartfelt contemplation. This week, we're talking stress and time, and just generally check back in on each others' lives. Of course, this episode's mistakes include:Audio echo, because of course there is.Poor photoshopping skills on the logo visible when zoomed in.FaceTime used instead of Skype, despite our corporate sponsorship.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Remember this moment by liking us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, rating us on iTunes, and sending your questions to deepfought@gmail.com

It's here. It's happened. Episode 50. It's strange to look back at our first episode, fifteen or so months ago, and contemplate all the hours it took to get to this. Michael and I send our love and regards to those of you listening - be it still listening, or recently on board - and taking part in what for us has often been more introspective than outwardly concerned. This episode ranges in discussion from robots, to desert island essentials, and then on to happiness, life goals, death, and love. So, business as usual then. And as always, this episode's mistakes include:The now traditional goddamn annoying audio glitches, namely a persistent echo on Michael's end that made us again resort to the lower quality Skype recording track. Not doing a director's commentary over the Twenniversary director's commentary over the first episode. No impression of the week, despite repeated promises.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Seriously, genuinely, thank you. Hello one, hello all, and welcome to another episode of the digital podcast Deep Fought. Today we're talking all about identity and perception, and how you can really tell who you are through how others see you. We hope you like it. But if you don't, well, please put your concerns and complaints to us in writing, and we'll address them in due course. This episode's mistakes include:That same Ableton audio bug causes Michael to lose his recording a few minutes in, again. An occasional desyncing of the audio tracks due to changes in the space-time continuum. (Skype connection lag.)Deviations into self-absorption, though undercut by brutality.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Remain true to yourself, and then like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your question suggestions to deepfought@gmail.com.

Good evening all, and thank you for casting your eyes across these fine fields of text. We have prepared another audio experience for you, with all the words and thoughts you have longed for strung together in a row. It is a Podcast. This week we're talking about nationhood, the idea of associating with one geographic area, and what it would take to unify the world beneath one government. It ain't bad. This episode's mistakes include:Potential lags and syncing issues due to Skype quality dropping in and out, and hence independent audio tracks being impossible to align. Not giving fan favourite segment 'Science News' its deserved attention.Alienating our extensive Singaporean audience.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Salute the flag, and then like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and send your questions to deepfought@gmail.com.

We're alive! This time out we're drinking and talking about our decisions. It might be the alcohol, but I think it ain't bad. I've kind of run out of stuff to say here. I hope you've been well? You'd let me know if you weren't, yeah? Cool. Cool cool. This episode's mistakes include:Posting the ep with an abstract title due to iTunes podcast guidelinesVariable audio quality as we switch between audio recordings midway. Some repetition of content, but in interesting ways.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Do what you were always going to, and like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, rate us on iTunes, and email us at deepfought@gmail.com.

Happy anniversary, honeys. Yes, one year ago on April 10th, 2014, we launched Deep Fought with four episodes. Technically we'd recorded and uploaded some in March, but once we'd finally hit an acceptable sound quality (if not content quality) we felt ready to tell people about it on Facebook. It's been a weird and fun ride for us, so thanks to anyone that listens or listened in the past and then moved on with their lives. This episode's mistakes include:Starting with the Skype call because Michael hadn't hit record, and then ending with the Skype call because Michael's audio file became five minutes of unnerving static tone.Fumbling our way into and out of a topic, again.Biting the hand that feeds us, so to speak.Egregious factual inaccuracies.Cheers to you, for liking us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, rating us on iTunes, emailing us at deepfought@gmail.com, and being the consummate podcast audience professionals that you are.
